Biography

Harry Egotak was an Ulukhaktok, Inuvialuit Settlement Region, NT-based artist who was involved in the early days of printmaking in Ulukhaktok in the 1960s. His first print, Two Men Hunting a Bear was produced in May 1962 using a sealskin stencil. Ulukhaktok printmakers didn't start working with stonecut until 1964. Egotak worked with the co-op as a printmaker until the late 1980s.
