Acclaimed seamstress Victoria Okpik shares her tips and tricks for how to cut and attach fur trim such as fox to parkas, amautiit, and other garments, as well as shows us how to make fur pom-poms, during this one-hour long live sewing workshop.

    Victoria Okpik
    Victoria Okpik is a Montreal-based fashion designer originally from Nunavik. After spending 19 years as a designer and seamstress for the Makivik Corporation-owned company Nunavik Creations, Okpik started began her own label, Okpik Creations, in 2019. A graduate of LaSalle College’s Fashion program, she creates parkas, bags, accessories and more. Notably, Okpik’s work has been worn by Polaris-prize nominated musician Elisapie Isaac and astronaut David Saint-Jacques.
