In this workshop, prolific seamstress and craftsperson Blanche Winters of Makkovik, Nunatsiavut, will introduce workshop attendees to some basics of embroidery. If you want to follow along at home, you will need: embroidery floss, needle, scissors, and fabric or duffel etc. You may want to use an embroidery hoop as well.

    Blanche Winters is a renowned seamstress from Makkovik, Nunatsiavut, NL. Her work is displayed across Canada and internationally, notably with 'Canada Goose: Project Atigi'. Winters is also a teacher, educating children over the past 17 years on the art of making clothing.
