(EDT)
In Collaboration with Canada Council for the Arts and
Inuit Futures
Let’s be real: Applying for funding through the Canada Council for the Arts portal can seem super daunting. Why don’t we work through it together?

In this workshop IAF's Heather Campbell asks Julie Dobbin of CCA’s Creating, Knowing, and Sharing program to walk us through the process of setting up a profile on the CCA website, the critical first step before applying for any CCA arts funding. We also talk about upcoming funding competitions and what you need to prepare in order to apply.

**Important Note: The information included in this workshop may only apply to CCA funding programs through December 2022. For up to date information, please visit the CCA website: https://canadacouncil.ca/funding/grants/deadlines

My name is Julie Dobbin and I’ve been an Associate Program Officer in Creating, Knowing and Sharing since the start of the program and new funding model in 2017. Prior to my role at Canada Council I was a graduate student with specializations in Indigenous studies, however, most of my work and research revolved around topics related to Inuit arts and culture. As an officer in the program I mostly oversee Travel and Small-Scale Activity grants but also help my colleagues with other grant components. Myself and my ancestors are from the lands of Nitassinan/Labrador, I am of mixed descent with Inuit, Innu and European ancestry. I currently live and work on unceded Algonquin Anishinaabe territory.
