Applying to Kajungiqsaut Grants 2024-2025

Need funding for your next creative project? The Inuit Art Foundation is excited to be running Kajungiqsaut Grants for its third year in partnership with Canada Council for the Arts! Offering grants from $500 all the way to $15,000, Kajungiqsaut is dedicated to supporting Inuit working in the arts!

Join us on Tuesday, November 26 to learn about how to apply to this program. IAF Artist Services Manager Amy Norman will be in conversation with IAF Program Officer Kyle Aleekuk to discuss everything you need to know about how to apply, including:

  • Who is eligible

  • Options for submission 

  • Important deadlines

  • Guidance for filling out the application form

  • What kind of support materials are required

  • Selection criteria and process

This program is open to Inuit who are actively working in the arts. We encourage applicants from all disciplines and career levels, which makes this perfect for first time applicants. The Inuit Art Foundation is proud to support Inuit creatives through Kajungiqsaut and strongly encourages applicants from any stage in their artistic careers to apply!

  • Kyle Aleekuk

    Kyle Aleekuk is a self-taught visual artist from Edmonton, AB. Inspired by the bold colours and style of the printmakers of Uluhaktok (Holman), including his grandfather Peter (Aliknak) Banksland and great aunt Agnes Nanogak Goose, Aleekuk adds his own contemporary twist by incorporating elements of classic tattoo art in crisp watercolours and India ink. He is currently a Program Officer at the Inuit Art Foundation.


  • Amy Norman
    Amy Norman is a proud Inuk woman born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, and her family ties are to North West River and Nain, Nunatsiavut. She works as the Manager of Artist Services with the Inuit Art Foundation.
