We’re Celebrating Siblings Day with a Comic!

If you grew up with siblings you are probably familiar with the ups and downs of those relationships. Sunday, April 10, is National Siblings Day and I wanted to share a comic about the more tender moments shared between siblings. In this piece a woman is fraught with worries about her life, and her sister comments on her disheveled appearance, which seemingly is the last straw for her.

I don’t like to make my family needlessly worry about me so I have always kept my anxieties to myself, and from age 3 to 38 it’s always whomped me at the most inopportune times. But my brothers and sisters are always there to cheer me up and make me laugh through my tears or blotchy-faced anger, or add new layers to my already cheerful mood.

And of course, it wouldn’t be an accurate comic about modern Indigenous sisters without some glam beaded earrings! If your sibs aren’t being brats this Sunday maybe gift them some sweet ear candy! Check out our profiles for the many talented jewellers!

Special shout-out to my best buds and the people I always looked up to most since birth: Nikkutai, Mosha, Lex and Paul!
