Annie Naulalik Qappik

Biography

Annie Naulalik Qappik is a printmaker who resides in Panniqtuuq (Pangnirtung), NU. Annie began her artistic practice as a young adult when she began stitching embroidery into wall hangings.

Her print Moonlight Over Pang (2018) shows a figure skidooing across a frozen lake at night, pulling a block of ice on a sled behind them, the light off the skidoo mirroring the moon directly above.

Qappik's drawings have been turned into tapestries and prints by the Uqqurmuit Centre and she has also worked collaboratively with other local artists to create a mural at the Pangnirtung Airport. Qappik's prints were a part of the 2018 Pangnirtung Print Collection.
